Droplet clear globule damp
And shining round.
Surface tension vibrant found,
Falls in silence, misty nights.
Crash to ground and dash,
Ten thousand lights...
The Artist
Sheet of paper clean and white
Tracing brush sweeping light.
Moments pause, the brush held still.
A sudden sweep - there forms a hill.
Paint is mixed a careful green.
Here and there a touch is seen.
A sudden twitch of gold and brown.
And on the hill a tree is found.
Clouds afloat on a sky of blue,
The moving brush, a deeper hue.
A figure young with smiling face,
Appears beneath the tree with grace.
Hand held poised, a moments thought.
A sudden breath, and life is caught.
